The firm also represents clients in the purchase or sale of commercial real estate property. Over the years, we have been the closing attorney for numerous development tract purchases and other business properties. This at times also includes acquisition or sale of the business itself or of the business assets. Recently, we have assisted with the purchase of a $7,000,000 retail operation in Winston-Salem, the refinance of a hotel in Asheville, the purchase of churches in both Charlotte and York County, the sale of a physical therapy practice, and several other commercial transactions. Our commercial services include negotiating and drafting the purchase agreements; reviewing corporate documents and amending or forming required business entities; drafting other contracts and agreements relating to business or land sales; and drafting restrictive covenants in addition to the actual closing of the property.
