In North Carolina, property lines and set backs are established when land is split into parcels and that cannot be changed without recorded surveys and/or agreements. A set back is a local ordinance that tells a property owner how close to the front, side, and rear property lines they may construct houses and other permanent structures. If you have a neighbor who has encroached on your property or has built too close to the set back, you will want to move quickly to force them to resolve their error.

Property Damage disputes

What happens when your home or other real property is damaged through the negligence or intentional acts of others? Installment Contract/Rent to Own Agreements

Sometimes, people have to rely on nontraditional means to achieve the dream of homeownership. Most people don’t have six figures in cash to purchase a property and are unable to secure a mortgage. Through an owner-sales agreement, buyers can purchase a home and get a deed after they finish paying for the home. Unfortunately, many of these deals are plagued by disputes or nefarious acts by one of the parties.
